First Hour Route
A compact first-hour route for TBH: Task Bar Hero: unlock priorities, starter formation, Rune Tree timing and early farming targets.
Start with unlocks, not grinding
Your first goal is to unlock the systems that multiply progress. Push stages until Rune Tree and Hero-dric Cube are open, then stop wasting time on low-value repeats.
- Clear 1-1 through 1-3 once, then keep pushing until the next system unlocks.
- Spend early Rune Tree points toward formation slots before small damage nodes.
- Unlock Priest as soon as possible; the healer stabilizes boss farming.
Starter formation
Knight plus Priest plus Ranger is the safest beginner shell. Swap Sorcerer in when you can clear without losing stability.
- Knight absorbs early pressure.
- Priest keeps the run alive and lowers failed clears.
- Ranger or Sorcerer handles damage while the account is undergeared.
When to farm
Farm only after you hit a wall or need specific boxes. Use the Farming Planner for EXP, gold and kills-per-hour instead of guessing from stage level alone.
Cube, Alchemy and Item Safety
How to use the Hero-dric Cube safely: synthesis, alchemy, item locks, market preparation and patch-sensitive item rules.
Lock before you alchemy
Alchemy is useful for converting junk into gold, but it is also the easiest place to delete value by mistake. Lock items you may keep before running bulk actions.
- Keep gear with useful rarity, sockets or market value.
- Check the update page before alchemy during hotfix windows.
- Do not treat market-price items as junk unless you have checked the current rules.
Synthesis priority
Synthesis is strongest when you are pushing a rarity breakpoint. Use it to upgrade a focused gear set before spreading materials across every slot.
Market-aware decisions
Steam Market and Trade Ship rules have changed during launch. A route that was correct yesterday can become wrong after a server or market patch.
Best Farming Routes
How to choose TBH farming stages by EXP per hour, gold per hour, kills per hour and box targets.
Measure your clear time
The best stage is personal because your clear time changes with gear, formation and hero level. Use one measured reference stage in the Farming Planner, then compare EXP, gold and kills per hour.
Use different routes for different goals
EXP routes are not always gold routes, and kill routes are not always box routes.
- Choose EXP/hour for hero leveling.
- Choose gold/hour when Cube and synthesis costs block progress.
- Choose kills/hour when monster count or box cadence matters.
Check drops after every patch
Box request intervals and Soulstone box ranges have changed in hotfixes. Use Drop Finder and Updates together before committing long farming sessions.
Market and Patch Watch
A short guide to market restrictions, patch notes and what to re-check before farming, crafting or selling.
Patch notes change farming value
Launch-window hotfixes have affected market listings, item recovery, Cube functions and box behavior. Always check the update hub before following an older route.
Market closure means holding decisions matter
When new listings are paused, the best action may be to hold, cancel or farm materials instead of trying to sell immediately.
What to re-check
Before a long session, re-check the latest official announcement, the current tracked patch, Cube safety notes and Drop Finder source assumptions.
Patch-aware guide
Latest tracked update: v1.00.13 on 2026-06-15. Check the update page before following market, Cube or farming advice.
A repeatable session
The game automates combat; your decisions set the next multiplier.
Deploy your party → heroes auto-fight waves → collect gold, XP, gear and chests → Alchemy junk into gold and Synthesize gear up rarities → spend the Rune Tree and skill points → push the next stage → farm Act bosses for high-value loot → sell on the Steam Market. Repeat.
Five decisions that compound
Keep this list beside the game until the Rune Tree, Cube and formation are online.
- 01
Clear stages to Level 3 to unlock the Rune Tree, then Level 4 to unlock the Hero-dric Cube.
- 02
In the Rune Tree, rush the Formation slots so you can field a 2nd and 3rd hero.
- 03
Unlock the free Priest as soon as you can — it is near-essential and considered the strongest class.
- 04
Use Alchemy to turn junk into gold, but Alt+Click to lock anything you want to keep first.
- 05
Turn on Auto-Retry (set the toggle blue) and use the Blue Portal to fast-travel and farm cleared stages.
Best starting party
Stability first, then speed once your clears are safe.
Knight (tank) + Priest (healer) + Ranger (DPS) is the safest beginner trio. Once you have it rolling, Priest + Ranger + Sorcerer farms faster.
Compare heroesSmall rules, fewer resets
These short reminders preserve the exact launch-window advice from the field manual.
- 01
"X-9" stages give the most XP per run — great for power-leveling.
- 02
Skill respecs are free, so experiment with builds constantly.
- 03
Offline rewards give gold and XP only (no chests), capped at 8 hours.
- 04
Swap a weak hero in behind your carries to power-level it during boss farms.
- 05
Do not Alchemy expensive items until the known Alchemy bug is patched — it can vanish them.
